Third-party software notices
Crustify is built on the open-source software listed below. Each component remains the property of its authors and is licensed to you under its own licence, not under the Crustify End User Licence Agreement. Nothing in the Crustify licence limits the rights these licences give you.
The full licence text of every component is installed with Crustify:
- <Crustify folder>\engines\<component>\ for the bundled programs (FFmpeg, Pandoc, 7-Zip, qpdf, PDFium, ExifTool)
- <Crustify folder>\licenses\ for the libraries built into Crustify itself (ImageMagick, .NET)
Source code offer
Some components are licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) or the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). For those components:
- Their source code is available from the links below.
- On request, for at least three years after you received Crustify, we will send you the complete corresponding source code of the exact versions shipped with Crustify. We may charge no more than the cost of physically providing it.
- Write to: suyashpadole715@gmail.com
The LGPL-licensed components are separate files (DLLs or programs) that you may replace with your own builds. Where the LGPL allows it, you may also modify them and reverse-engineer Crustify to debug such modifications.
Bundled programs
Crustify starts these as separate programs. They are not linked into Crustify.
FFmpeg n9.0.2 (LGPL build)
- Copyright (c) 2000-2026 the FFmpeg developers
- Licence: GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3 or later.
- Built with --enable-version3.
- Built without --enable-gpl or --enable-nonfree, and without libx264, libx265 or libfdk-aac.
- Files: engines\ffmpeg\ (ffmpeg.exe, ffprobe.exe and the av*/sw* DLLs), licence in engines\ffmpeg\LICENSE.txt
- Source: https://ffmpeg.org/download.html and https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg Build configuration: run "engines\ffmpeg\ffmpeg.exe -version"

- Files: engines\pandoc\pandoc.exe, licence in engines\pandoc\COPYING.rtf and COPYRIGHT.txt
- Source: https://github.com/jgm/pandoc/releases/tag/3.13

7-Zip 26.05
- Copyright (C) 1999-2026 Igor Pavlov
- Licence: GNU LGPL (most code). BSD 3-clause and BSD 2-clause (some code). GNU LGPL with the unRAR licence restriction (RAR decompression code).
- Files: engines\7zip\ (7z.exe, 7z.dll), licence in engines\7zip\License.txt
- Source: https://www.7-zip.org and https://github.com/ip7z/7zip
- unRAR restriction: the unRAR code may not be used to develop a RAR (WinRAR) compatible archiver. Crustify only uses 7-Zip to extract RAR and 7z archives. It never creates RAR archives.

Some features use parts of Windows itself and are covered by your Windows licence; Crustify ships none of these files:
- the Segoe Fluent Icons font for icons
- Windows Media Foundation for video previews and H.264 encoding
- Windows.Media.FaceAnalysis and Windows OCR for redaction and text recognition
- the Windows Share dialog
Microsoft Office (optional)
If Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint is installed, Crustify can ask it to convert Office documents. Office is not part of Crustify and is used under your own Office licence.
