Summary

Converting, compressing and editing all happen on your PC.
Your files, their contents and their names are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Results are saved next to the original file.

When you activate Crustify, your licence key is checked online.
About once a month, when you're online, Crustify quietly checks that the licence is still active.
Only the key, an anonymous ID for your PC (used for the 2-PC limit) and the Crustify version are sent, never anything about your files.

Every few days, while you're using it, Crustify asks GitHub whether a newer version exists.
Nothing about you or your files is sent.

Crustify keeps an error log on your PC (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Crustify\logs) to help with support.
The log is never sent automatically. You can choose to email it to us if you need help.

To sell and activate licences, the website stores your email, your phone number, your orders, your licence keys and the PCs they are activated on.
Your phone number is required by our payment provider, Cashfree. We don't use it for anything else.
Payments are handled by Cashfree. We never see or store your card or bank details.
When you activate Crustify, it sends your licence key, an anonymous ID for your PC and the Crustify version. Never anything about your files.
Licence emails are sent through Resend.
The site sets no cookies. Visits, downloads, clicks, page speed and page errors are counted anonymously with PostHog in its cookieless mode: nothing is stored in your browser, and you are never identified.
PostHog also records anonymous replays of how pages are used (scrolling, clicks), to help us improve the site. Everything you type, your email and your licence key are hidden from these recordings.
